Arena of the Unwell, NW London: Wednesday 11th April

Arena of the Unwell at Proud Galleries

Arena of the Unwell is a new music and spoken word performance event being held monthly at the Proud Gallery in Camden. Featuring an eclectic range of bands and poets it's part of the regular Wednesday Art@Proud event where one ticket lets you flit like a cultural butterfly between theatre, comedy, music, and poetry performed simultaneously in three rooms.

This month's line-up:

James Ó Nuanáin: recently published by Good Housekeeping, and your host for the evening. Anne Brechin: flitting twixt fantasy and urban alienation whilst twiddling fetchingly with her hair. Feldspar: The two well-spoken boys who comprise Feldspar will be playing folk inspired adorned with lyrics that could have been torn from Tennyson's tear stained pillows. Plaistow: Hackney's own Plaistow car jacking their way across North London to accost you with their acoustic punk-folk. rude_nhs: Drum n'rave jazz and hard hitting lifestyle warnings. Steve Sumner alphabetically working his way through women -- he's nearly at Y but won't say where he started, and Mr Nibbles: warped and melodic glitchy electronica.

Please let them know at the door that you are here for Arena of the Unwell, especially if they don't ask you. Your £5 ticket also lets you into the two other performances spaces where there will be theatre and comedy, so get all your culture over and done with for the month.
